Having those big (or little), dark circles under your eyes is pretty common. Your eyelids and the skin directly under your eyes are particularly tender and senstive areas of your epidermis, so those dark circles under your eyes can be caused by a myriad of things, including lifestyle, diet, and hereditary disposition.

Under-eye circles can also be heriditary. Dark circles age the face, create a tired, worned appearance and cast a deceivingly disinterested expression. These capillaries really " leak " blood which starts to oxidize creating a dark bluish-red pigmentation that looks decidedly like an ugly bruise. Sooner or later, we all learn that there is no area of the face more susceptive to aging than the area around the eyes. Many eye creams way through arduous safety testing as of the potential for the product to enter the eye.

Home remedies for dark circles under the eyes aren't as fast and effective as dark circle eye creams. But they do have the virtue of being inexpensive and readily available. (Some of them make good snacks, too.) Don't expect miracles from home remedies, but they can help you get through until UPS brings your Dermalex order.

You can use tea bags and cucumbers: Yes there is definitely something to those commercials where women have cucumbers and tea bags on top of their eyes. Both tea bags and cucumbers reduce inflammation and decrease swelling. Tea bags are especially good to use for dark swollen circles because there is tannin inside of the tea that helps with eliminating the puffiness.

Eat healthy nutritional diet. Include dairy products in your diet and consume green vegetables and fruits in your daily diet. Food rich in iron helps in reducing dark circles because eat times one gets them because they lack iron in their body and consuming sufficient iron and reduce the dark circles.

Use a proper concealer. Test out the best colors at a department store counter or at Sephora. (Tip: Tell the makeup artist you are looking to correct the undereye circles and are testing several different types before purchase). Choose concealer that's a shade lighter than your foundation. And if your circles are very dark, go 2 shades lighter. You might be choosing a concealer that's too light if you are getting a 'raccoon look.'

To lighten dark circles under your eyes, wrap a grated raw potato in cheese cloth and apply to eyelids for 15-20 minutes. Wipe off residue and apply an eye cream. Slices of raw potato [chilled if you like it better]are an excellent treatment for under eye circles. Just place the potato slices on your lids and relax for 15 minutes to half-an-hour. To make sure that you use this treatment everyday, make it a routine every night when you go to bed. No need to wake up to chuck those slices after use.

Consult a physician before considering using any expensive or invasive treatments. Not all Eye Circles are formed equally, and understanding and discussing the root causes of your dark circles with a qualified professional will ensure you don’t waste your money.
