How Myspace Has Helped Make The World Become Flat?

Social networking websites are bringing friends together on one platform. That is nothing great. Friends can even otherwise be in touch with each other. What a social network such as Myspace does differently is to create a gathering place, where all of us can exchange ideas and thoughts with all of our friends.
This has brought a revolution in social networking. How does Myspace help become the world little more flat? I have been on social networks for years now. The beginning was with my own friends. Then I began joining groups with common interest. After that I sent invitations to few people around the world that I thought could become good friends. Many of them agreed to be my friends. Today I have friends from many countries around the world. I am coming to know about customs and holidays I never knew about. I am coming to know about eating habits of people around the world. I am beginning to get a feel about what people think about others around the world. I could help remove many misconceptions about India. This has given me a great confidence to interact with international friends. Today If I want to travel around I will find a friend in most countries who will be there to guide me.
The world was my own city in the beginning. Then as I grew up and traveled around India I found much more about my country. After actively networking on Myspace I have come to know so much more about the world that everybody looks like a earth citizen to me. I no longer have wrong ideas about nations. I am comfortable talking to people across many cultures. I am able to learn more about their abilities. They are in turn getting to know more about India. The world is surely becoming flatter because of Myspace for my friends and me.
