Few realize that bad breath or halitosis is an indicator of a more serious problem like gum disease or a myriad of dental diseases. It goes without saying that you should check with your dentist regularly. There are so many products available to help us maintain good oral hygiene. These products don't always work and do not necessarily guarantee that we will have fresh spelling breath. Brushing, flossing and using a good mouthwash all help to keep our mouths clean, but sometimes we need a little more to keep our mouths fresh. Currently, my favorite breath freshener is the breath strip for my bad breath cure.
Of course brushing and flossing is not enough for halitosis suffers. I got the message from my mom when I was visiting home for the first time after a couple of semesters. As usual I walked in the front door to hug my mom. She pulled back and said, "Wow! Your breath could stop a clock!" I am sure she meant it in the nicest possible way.
I did not take it well. Before I got in the car to drive home I had said goodbye to my then boyfriend. Being stinky anywhere anytime is not cool. I had even prepared myself to see him by dabbing on some perfume and brushing and flossing. Maybe if I had used a breath strip it could of saved my breath and the relationship. I do think that the demands that I make on my breath by drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes contribute to my problem.
Once we all agreed that I had chronic bad breath I went on a jihad. I bought almost every product known to man for bad breath. I never went very far from my inventory of mints, sprays and rinses. I found that the breath strip is the answer for me over all other treatments.
Gum is inadequate since it does loose it flavor after 5 or ten minutes of chewing. Also it is inappropriate in many situations. While dining out you cannot pop in a stick of gum and pound away at your jaw. Additionally the added sugar will sabotage any dieter.
Mints do fair any better for a permanent bad breath remedy. Mints also have the dreaded calories. And they can take too long to melt in your mouth to cure the situation.
Breath sprays didn't do it for me either. People look at you funny if you use sprays anyway. They think you have leprosy. Your aim and timing have to be dead on as well. I smacked an old man in the kisser with a healthy spray of Bianca while in church. That didn't go well.
Using a strip for your breath freshening needs is overall the best choice for halitosis. They are small and can be pulled out anytime anywhere for a quick bad breath cure. Before beginning any bad breath jihad check with your doctor and dentist.
