Hinduism has a different concept of God than other religions. In Hinduism God is not something different than the world. According to Hinduism all of us are Gods. The whole world is God. the whole world resides in God. It is surprising to say that we are all Gods, but that is the truth in Hinduism. The difference between God and all of us is that we do not realize our true nature because of maya. The emotions and our karmas make a screen that hides our nature. That is why Hinduism lays emphasis on Guru. Guru removes this veil and shows us our true nature.

Most of the Hindu texts praise the lord. Lord is praised in various ways and we surrender in front of him. By the way, God has no gender. He is formless, cannot be seen or felt. We have lot of ego. We believe that we can do so many things. A scientist belies that he can understand what goes on. A President believes that he can guide a nation and so on. This ego makes us feel great. But the truth is different. We are nothing, absolutely nothing. God creates us at will and destroys us when he wants. We get pain or pleasure depending on our karma. That is law by which all of us are governed.

According to the greatest Siddha our objective should be to realize our Godhood. For that we have to understand that in front of God, we are less than nothing. For that rather than keep saying that we are nothing, we should praise the lord. Slowly by this praise we realize that only God is supreme. That only God is the truth and that we are nothing but his creation that he makes to play games. That is the reason of praising God in Hinduism.
