First, think of the products or items that you are to sell. Start looking inside your house; the things that you no longer use can be converted to cash. Gather all things in your house that is not used anymore but is in good condition. Take a photograph of the things that you are to sell online. Next is to create your website where you will post the pictures that you have taken. There are a lot of websites that offer free hosting. Maybe you can start there, register to that site and it's now up to you to make it appealing to other people. Be creative with your website. Have a page where your items are located, make it easy for your customers to browse on the items that you sell. Maybe it will be better if you group your products according to type. Place all books together at one page or column, next the gadgets etcetera etcetera.
Never forget to make a nice description of every product. And make your pricing reasonable, it is better to compare the prices of the products that other competitors sell. Also, if you can, include some discounts to customers if they buy in bulk. It will be more appealing to customers, and that will make them buy some more.
You can also make money just with your site alone, place in some ads in your site to get revenues. There are programs that pay website owners by placing their ads in their websites.
So now you know, setting it up is too easy, and fun too. All you need is a lot of creativity and patience. This type of business is not a 'get rich easy' propaganda. In this type of business, your patience and endurance and creativity will be tested. Just be patient and all your efforts will be rewarded.
