Perfume has become one of the most popular kinds of personal care for both men and women. Some people even consider perfume very vital to put on when they go out. However, it is a fact that not all perfume users know how to effectively wear them. Therefore, they are highly likely to make the following mistakes when using perfume.
1. Spray perfume on clothes and pearl or fake adornments
The real fragrance of perfume is only released when it is dabbled on human skin. Therefore, spraying perfume on clothes does not only take away the true and long lasting smell of perfume but also smears the color of clothes.
If you still like to spray perfume on your clothes, do it with dark-colored ones. Similarly, pearl or fake jewelries are also stained when being exposed to perfume due to the alcohol content in it. Thus, it is highly recommended that perfume be put on far from pearl or fake jewelries.
2. Rub the two wrists with each other
Many people have the habit of rubbing their two wrists together after spraying perfume on them as they feel that doing so may help the perfume permeate into the skin. The fact is the opposite.
It is true that wrists are the ideal places to put perfume on, but rubbing the two wrists will reduce the surface effect of perfume on the skin. The suggested places on your body, besides wrists, which can keep the fragrance for a long time are the areas below your ears, the back of the hand, and the left and right side of the neck. Also, you can spray the perfume into the air and step right into that area so that the perfume can be absorbed by the whole body.
3. Wearing only one kind of perfume all year round or mixing different kinds of perfume
People often make the mistake of using only one kind of perfume for all occasions, all seasons during the year. The difference in temperature will affect the strength of the fragrance of the perfume; therefore, it is not suitable to wear the same perfume all year round.
You are suggested to choose sweet and warm fragrances for the office, delicate ones for open air festivals and strong but not too extreme perfumes for night parties.
Meanwhile, some people experience trouble when they use many kinds of perfume. Some particles of your daily perfume are still staying on your body even when you think these are gone. This will easily mix with the newly sprayed one and change the fragrance of the perfume. Thus you had better take a bath before changing the perfume.
4. Putting perfume bottles in open air without their paper box.
It is a common trend that people take the perfume bottle out of its paper box and place it on the table or on the cupboard. It is easier for you to take and look at your favorite perfume if you do so, but light will change the quality of the perfume.
The paper box is designed for each perfume bottle not only to beautify and avoid crash but also to preserve the fragrance. It is best for you to keep the perfume bottle in its nylon bag and paper box in order to maintain the real quality and fragrance of the perfume.
Perfume will surely take its best effect if people know how to use it in the right way. Paying attention to the above tips may help you enjoy the greatest quality of the perfume you wear.
