Another major factor is to give importance to not what you write but what you follow. You are interested more in what others are doing and not what you are doing on your page. So with Twitter if you follow somebody, you are immediately told about what the other person wants to say. This results in very quick communication.Call it luck or whatever but most prominent personalities are tweeting. They are being followed and all followers are interested in knowing about what their favorite celebrity, consultant, author or artist is doing. It also has become a marketing tool. Though it is not a good marketing tool for small businesses yet it may happen soon. Right now if you selling toothbrushes, nobody wants to know about your latest. But if you are offering a bargain, people may get interested. Do you see Twitter affecting ebay? It may happen. Why not sell what you have on your twitter and let people know immediately? A clean interface, neat design and less clutter make twitter easy to use and this may also be one reason why people are not leaving it.Twitter.com is the hottest website these days. Everyone seems to be tweeting these days. Their site traffic seems to be doubling every month. It's slogan is 'what are you doing right now?'. But it has become more than that. Now, all of us will not like to post that 'I am eating toast jam right now' or 'I am going to office' or 'I have come back home now and am watching TV'. The question on your mind after you join will be 'what do I do if I don't just want to post about my whereabouts or what am I doing?'You can start off your tweeting journey by following important people and companies. You can follow CNN for their breaking news. Follow celebrities like Oprah, Ashton Kutcher, Paris Hilton, Britney to know what they are upto. Shaq O Neal is also on Twitter and so are other sports personalities. Follow then. The fun part is some big people actually reply to your messages/tweets to them. Imagine chatting with them on Twitter. You can follow CEOs of different companies and learn more about their management style, time management, business skills from the posts they make. Self-help gurus like Tony Robbins are known to post one-liners which are worth a million words. Follow him and others and make your life more worthwhile. Follow websites like mashable and techcrunch and learn about the latest happenings on the technology and internet front. Sellers like Dell and many others post twitter only deals. Follow them and who knows, you may buy your dream laptop at a
bargain price. There are many sellers who maintain a dedicated person on twitter so that users can get live help then and there. You can know what is buzzing/happening in real-time in the online world by the topics which appear in the trends on the right menu. Click on them and know opinions of people around the world.
