Is TVI Express a Real Opportunity or just Hype?

Some weeks ago, a friend of mine asked me to join TVI Express, a network marketing offering of Travel Ventures International, so I started looking at it. I looked at membership cost, bonus structure and the residual income potential and was sure those claims were wild exaggerations.
I interviewed current participants, I heard claims, saw numbers and some checks. I spoke with representatives who had not made any money yet, and those who, reportedly, made a lot of cash in a short while. Apparently the difference between the two being, those who did not share the program, or shared with just one person, had not made any bonuses yet.
As I encountered those who had not earned bonuses first, my attitude toward TVI, as a business opportunity, was turning sour quickly. I Then met some people who had made money. These people had shared the opportunity with others and helped them do the same thing. I was surprised to learn they did not share the program with a huge number of people. In fact, just sharing the program with two persons, and helping those two share it with two, had qualified them for the very $10,000.00 bonuses I was sure were Impossible to get.
Some of the TVI representatives, I learned, made their bonuses in less than 5 weeks! Okay, now they had my attention, I had to learn more. One group had taken things to the next level and approached the business as no other group had. Though still only promoting, what they referred to as, the two by two model, the Travel Ventures Group, http://www.travelventuresgroup.com, had added an incentive that fired up down line groups and was showing explosive growth.
I also noticed the big bonus makers were easily available for my questions. Even though they were busy people, they still had the time to fill leadership and mentoring roles. This was the point where I began getting very interested. Seeing a check someone has earned is one thing, having the person offer to teach you how, "and actually following through", is another.
In the past, I've heard "Just buy my widget, or subscribe to my newsletter, and I'll help you make millions!" Then once you buy their program, they dissapear like thieves in the night. You learn the mentoring, training and insider secrets they told you about were part of a "Special insider program" that ONLY costs another $49.95 PER MONTH!!!! You then learn the program, that seemed so affordable, was just a sales funnel to draw you into a regular monthly fleecing.
I found TVI to be nothing like I had ever seen before:
As a global discount travel club, joining is $275.00. Your lifetime membership includes one week accommodations at a 3 to 5 star property of your choosing, free return airfare offers, discounted airfare / rental car rates and enrollment in the income opportunity.
As an income opportunity, the rules are simple, the program is affordable, the bonuses are large and attainable, the people seem like they'd be a joy to work with and the products appear to have superior quality and value.
(5 star accommodations at 2 and 3 star prices, first class at coach rates, mid size rentals at compact car cost etc.)
All in all the only negative I found was the TVI Express website. I found the speed sluggish, they are frequently updating it and, reportedly, up time has been an issue of late. In their defense, the site is clean and visually appealing, the back office features are intuitive and powerful, and the videos are well done. As for the up time, the site may have upwards of 50 thousand people on it at one time so a server crash now and again may be understandable.
In conclusion, whether you are looking for a travel club to save money on excellent quality travel packages, or an opportunity to supplement or replace your current income, TVI might be worth a look before they come to their senses and raise the enrollment cost.
Many thanks to the staff of Travel Ventures Group http://www.travelventuresgroup.com for their input and assistance with this article.
