As we all know, Homemade Wind Turbines is much more cheaper than commercial made. But are these Homemade Wind Turbines as efficient as Commercial Wind Turbines? and how much does Homemade wind power cost? Before you DIY wind turbines in your backyard, which materials need you prepare first? Generally speaking, the first thing is to find a suitable place for your wind turbine, the second is make your wind turbines plans, including caculate the output in watts, diameter of the wind blades, wind speed and so on. you also need a step-by-step guide. There are many products like energy4home on internet, some people said they are scam. But i do not think so,it gather all information that needed during the process of making a homemade wind turbines. although you can find it, it will waste lots of your time. In most case, these five things below in common though:
1.Generator
2.Blades
3.A mounting that keeps it turned into the wind
4.A tower to get it up into the wind
5.Batteries and an electronic control system
Here is my materials list:

There are many step-by-step guides like GreenDiyEnergy,Energy4Home in the market, costed about $50.Some people said they are scam, unuseful. But i do not think so, it contains some blueprint or step-by-step manunal or video instructions. Althoutgh these information can be find through internet. it maybe waste lots of your time and energy. Some guides do not include instruction video, if you are unsure or completely untrained with electrical work, you had better to hire or find an electrician to help out with the wiring. During diy your wind turbines, you may be ask "How do you prevent the power cable coming down the inside of the tower from winding up over time? "
This may be the most asked question I have ever heard. The short answer is I don't do anything to prevent it. The cable really doesn't wind up all that badly. The wind is as liable to spin the turbine head around one way as it is the other. So there is no real tendency for the cable to wind up badly. If it does wind up over time, it is no big deal to simply disconnect the wires at the bottom and manually unwind it. I have an idea for a fairly easy to build slip-ring system that would prevent any possibility of winding up the cable. At present though, there is little need to actually try implementing it. Maybe I'll try it out on a future turbine.
With the energy bills steadily climb,Homemade wind turbines benifit more and more families, why spend your money on tradtional power bills? Homemade wind turbines save money, protect enviorment and enjoy the fun of diy.
I wish you to build your wind turbines successfully!
