Should it be examining real-world situations and examples of what you are learning about, then pay attention to whatever thing meets your learning needs. You will be much more interested if you actually get involved, not just reading about a topic. As soon as you can, you may then put things into practice!
Nevertheless, you must not extend yourself. Think about the fact that it takes several years to graduate from traditional university. The same thing counts for distance education!
