Bakersfield is a thirteenth largest city of California, situated in Southern California s Central Valley. It is the county seat of Kern County. Snow fall is a vey rare phenomenon in the area but snowfall occurs every 20 to 30 years. Last time it snowed was on 25 January 1999 when 6 inch snow fall was recorded.
