How To Prospect For Your MLM Business

When you began your entrepreneurial journey into the Home Business industry the very first thing you are told to do is make a list of everyone you know. Your Sponsor told you that prospecting for your MLM business was going to be easy. They said something like “Hey John, compile a list of everybody you know and talk to them about your business opportunity”.
Going up to people that know, trust and like you is always a smart way to start a downline. Most distributors kind of shoot themselves in the foot when it comes down to asking their friends and family if they would be interested in a business opportunity.
Prospecting friends and family is not a bad idea if you do it the right way. So what do you do when your warm market is all dried up? Most Distributors purchase leads. Some people start cold calling
Distributors tend to look for people who they feel "need" a business opportunity. They develop a “need to help them mentality” and that is absolutely the wrong thing you need to do. Now when distributors are just starting off in their business, they only prospect people who are below them on the social scale. If you ever want to start making any money in your home business you’re going to have to start prospecting up the social ladder.
You want to be prospecting people such as Network marketers, Hotel Managers, Realtors, Stock Brokers, Doctors, Lawyers, these are a couple examples to get you thinking. You want to start changing the way you prospect for your mlm business. Be on the look out for succesful influential people. People that have a strong influence in the community are people you want to prospect for your mlm business.
For some reason people think that since someone is already successful then you shouldn’t approach them with your MLM opportunity. People that are successful might have money already, but at what cost? Maybe they dont have the time to spend with their loved ones because they are always at work. You get where I’m going with this? People who have had success in life have usually paid the price for it. They are paying with their time. How many times do you think these people say I wish I had more time to spend with my family or I wish I worked for myself?
You never know who might join your home business. All you have to do is start prospecting the right people.
