But did you know that how you dress can influence whether you will look thinner or (gasp) fatter? From as simple as wearing the right clothes to changing your hairstyle once in a while, you can successfully make yourself look skinner than your actual weight. Here are the best ways

Wear the right fit dress. The best way to look thinner and shed 20 pounds off your weight is to actually lose it. So if you find yourself watching a TV program saying that a single outfit can work this magic, change your channel. But you have to remember that choosing the right fit clothes can certainly help you look slimmer. Clothes that are too baggy make you look fat since they add bulk and make you look heavier. Clothes that are too tight accentuate all the bulges, rolls and flaws to the shape of your body. Wear clothes that fit just right.

V neck line and waist. Your middle area draws a lot of attention. Wearing v neck line draws away this attention and makes you look thinner. A v neck waist on a dress or skirt helps reduce the bulky appearance at the waist and top of the hips.

Wear the right size bra. Big breasts can make you look bigger than you actually is; so wear the right bra that gives you better support and elevation. If you have big arms, wear something lose in the arms. Do not wear something that is too tight or elastic as this never helps.

Black is good. Black makes your body look thinner and smaller. It also doesn t emphasize those curves, rolls, and bulges of your body. Black is classic. You can wear it anytime, any season, for any reason. Black makes you look slimmer.

Don t dwell too much on what is wrong with your body. Highlight your good bits. If you have slender arms, wear sleeveless shirts. If you have a long neck, wear accessories that will draw attention.

Stand straight. Proper posture creates a lot of good things to a woman, including making her look thinner. Practice on your posture. Avoid slouching as bad posture adds instant weight visually.

Choose the right fabric. Always choose fabric that are not too bulky—any fabric that has a tendency to bunch up. Sweatshirts, puffy jackets, heavy wool can easily make you look fatter. Avoid wearing them. It is ideal to choose fabrics that are thin but strong and can easily hold shape.

Pants should also fit nicely. Too baggy and you make your legs look way bigger, too fit and your legs will bulge. Wearing heels can also make you look thinner as it makes you look taller and longer.

Update your hairstyle once in a while but wear the right hair that goes well with the shape of your face.
