If you've been into the Internet marketing industry for some time now, you know the value of a good sales copy. Regardless of what you sell, you can't do it without the help of sales copy that converts. Be prepared to spend some time and sweat equity if you want to learn how to do it. It's the kind of writing you've never done before, we promise you that. You have to learn certain fundamentals and devote yourself to learning it before you can even begin to try to write it. So we'll get you started with just a handful of copywriting tips you can learn.

Always write your copy like you're talking one-on-one to someone. But your prospect will get more convinced if you can show them that you have external supporting information that shows your product really is worth it. Use testimonials as much as you can, and do be sure they are real because it's illegal to use fake ones. Sales copy can be tricky because if you do anything that sparks more doubt than they arrived with, then you're done. A lot of times marketers will ask for testimonials, but maybe the best way is to solicit feedback and make a request if it can be used. Keep them short, up to 6 to 7 sentences, which talk about how the product was useful to this particular customer. Always be willing to provide a product copy to anyone who is reviewing the product for you. It's not always possible, but if you're lucky enough to get someone to send a video testimonial, then that's pure gravy because they're powerul and work well.

Always write clearly and in a manner that prevents any kind of confusion. When you write your copy, imagine you're sitting with one friend who is seated across the table, and you are speaking only to your friend.

As you write, always speak with the word "you" because that encourages the reader to feel it's more person, and that you are addressing only that person. Doing so will create a more personal feeling and helps to draw the reader in more. You will be making that all-important connection which will help to overcome resistance. You always want to build a relationship with your potential customers because if you do, then you'll have more sales. A good copywriter knows how to write to the reader's emotions, and that is only one way to do that.

Try to flex your copywriting muscles and write compelling and good copy, and avoid writing hypey sales copy because everyone is tired of reading it. Don't make the sales copy boring but at the same time don't crap it up with hype.

Copywriting is selling with words, bottom line, and it makes no difference exactly what it is you're trying to sell. All buying decisions are emotion-based decisions, and the buyer later uses logic to justify that buying decision. So you'll need to study copywriting if you want to do the best you can with it. Copywriting has long been called, the most valuable skill you can learn in business.
