The World Series of Poker is the biggest event in the world in terms of gambling and poker. This event is an event that attracts the best poker players around the world. While the World Series of Poker started as an event that was rather modest in its size, it has grown exponentially in its size. The event seems to get bigger with time and the dynamic of the event is very different now than it was in the 1970s.

The 2007 World Series of Poker was an event that featured some new events in the World Series of Poker. Some of these new events were based on the game called H.O.R.S.E. In the year previous to the 2007 World Series of Poker there was a 50,000 dollar H.O.R.S.E event added to the World Series of Poker. In 2007 there were a few more events with much lower buy-ins.

While there are dozens of smaller events, it is no secret that the event that everyone cares about is the Main Event. The Main Event is an event that is a 10,000 dollar No Limit Texas Hold ‘em tournament. In this event the players pay 10 thousand dollars each to enter and they square off to see which player is the best in the world. In 2007 there were nearly 6400 players in the tournament. While this is a significant amount of players, this was actually more than 2400 fewer players than there were in the Main Event in the previous year. Over the years the Main Event grew steadily over time and there was actually only one year in which the total number of players in the Main Event decreased.

While the total number of players decreased, there were more players overall in the World Series of Poker than in any other year.

Some people may wonder why the event shrunk for the first time in over a decade. The answer relates to some laws that were passed that limited the act of gambling on the internet. In years past there were many players that qualified for the World Series of Poker by winning major tournaments on the internet. With more restrictions on internet gambling, there were fewer events in which players could qualify for the World Series of Poker.
One note that was unique to this event was actually regarding the color of the poker chips. The colors of the chips made it difficult for viewers to see how much money was on the table. Some people even felt that the level of play was affected by the lack of differentiation in the colors of the chips.

The winner of the World Series of Poker Main Event was in line to win a prize of more than 8 million dollars. The winner of the event was Jerry Yang. He beat out Tuan Lam for the World Series of Poker championship in the Main Event. Lam brought home nearly 5 million dollars for his play in the tournament. The third place finisher in the event was Raymond Rahme, who brought home more than 3 million dollars.
