When to potty train your child rests solely on two factors. There is no set age on when to potty train a child, whether itís a boy or girl.
First things first,, prior to even trying to contemplate on when to potty train your little child, you need to ask yourself the following two questions:

Is my little child set to start potty training?

To know exactly when itís the right time for your child, you have to look out for certain signs that your toddler may be giving you.

Look out for his or her attitude towards other members of the family using the bathroom.

A number of toddlers may also show frustration when they are about to pee or poop in their diaper.

Others may simply get annoyed right after they pee or poop in their nappy, to make you to change the soiled nappy immediately.

Then there are other young ones who are curious already about how it would feel for them to do like grown ups do and swap nappies with a potty or toilet. Some toddlers show their curiosity by taking their toys in turns to test out sitting on the potty.
There are many more signs you should look for that will give you an idea when to potty train your child, since all signs will give you a clear picture on how eager he or she is to test out potty training.

This is not all however, you should also ask yourself:

Am I ready to potty train my little toddler?

And that my friend is another million dollar question. See, it doesn't matter if your little one is ready for all this, since potty training your child also rests on how much you are ready to go through this stage yourself.

If you're already frustrated about your kid peeing on your brand new sofa, or peeing on the carpets, or soiling the newly washed clothes, then you are surely NOT ready to start potty training your child!

When you are starting out potty training your little one, it is essentially important to stay calm at all times. Showing your little one that youíre angry just as much as he or she is may lead to potty training regression, which would be much worse!

Both these factors go hand in hand, and you should both be ready to go through a stress free potty training phase.

Remember, only you and your child will be determining the right time for when to potty train.

Once you establish you are both eager for this phase, be sure you know spot on what to do to make this potty training phase a true achievement.
